Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.A.

Dr. Stephen H. Franklin has an area of special interest in cataracts and glaucoma. He has had special training in cataract surgery, intraocular lens implantation, and laser surgery. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine. He interned at Indiana University Medical Center and returned to SUNY Downstate to complete his residency in ophthalmology. He then completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Michigan, and has been practicing in Wilmington since 1971.

Dr. Franklin is a senior attending physician at The Medical Center of Delaware and is an attending physician at St. Francis Hospital. He is on the staff of Wills Eye Hospital, as well as being a consultant for the A.I. DuPont Institute and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Jefferson Medical College.

He is Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. His professional memberships include the New Castle County Medical Society, the Medical Society of Delaware, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology
