The newest pair of eyes at Eye Physicians and Surgeons belongs to a name you have probably come across before.  Optometrist Dr. Andrea Gallo joined our team in November of 2016.  Her journey to this point included earning her BS degree from the University of Delaware with a major in chemistry.  She worked as a molecular technician performing genetic identification before going to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University to earn her degree of Doctor of Optometry.  Dr. Gallo did her residency at Perry Point VA Medical Center.  We salute Dr. Gallo as she has served as Captain in the Army Reserve.

At Perry Point VA Dr. Gallo managed and treated a high volume of ocular and systemic disease, delivered ocular disease lectures, and provided clinical guidance to 4th year optometry interns.  She is experienced in primary eye care, ocular disease, and pre and post operative eye care.  Assessing and managing care for those with glaucoma, corneal and retinal disease, diabetes and age-related macular degeneration are all in Dr. Gallo's range of care.

At Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.A. Dr. Gallo will provide the same services as well as prescribe glasses and contact lenses, including the specialty scleral lens.  An interesting fact about Dr. Gallo is that she also treats patients at Nemours Senior Care Eye Clinic.  Giving back to the community in some way is important to her.

We welcome Dr. Gallo with her wealth of knowledge and experience.
