Staff Highlight of the Month - April Majewski

April Majewski is a receptionist at Eye Physicians and Surgeons and has been in this position for 11 years. More specifically, April works at the Check-Out Desk where she is a grand multi-tasker.  Her daily goal is to please a variety of people in a variety of ways and she manages to get everyone on the same page.  Primarily she arranges appointments for a date and time needed by the patient; however she must match their needs to the availability of the doctor.  April manages Dr. Glazer’s schedule and this is no small task as the schedule must have an efficient flow in order to ensure that patients are seen in a timely fashion.

April has the skill of discerning which calls need more immediate attention.  She triages calls to the appropriate technician for patients who have symptoms that call for being seen immediately.                                                            

While she is juggling these tasks - either by phone or when patients are in front of her – she manages to give her personal attention to each with her smile and friendly attitude.  You will not feel like a number or a stranger when you are in April’s care – she has a way of letting you know you are a valued member of the EPS family. 

April’s supervisor describes her as a very dedicated and dependable employee.  She arrives on time and stays late.  If she is out for any reason, patients ask for her and they just love her. “Service with a smile – that’s our April.”
