The Blinding Truth By Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.A. on June 29, 2018

If you are a patient at Eye Physicians & Surgeons you are probably well aware of the medical cause and affect of one’s visual acuity or even inability to see.  We can list diabetes, age related macular degeneration, glaucoma, trauma to the eye.  The American Academy of Ophthalmologists (AAO) reminds us that another danger out there is Fireworks!  Many of us love fireworks – the beauty, the displays in the sky, the color, the noise.  However there are some who run the other way.  As with many things in life, both positive and negative can become end results of our temporary enjoymentPart of the answer could be to handle carefully and mindfully those things that can turn from good to bad and keep it all in the positive column.

To that end AAO has a video on You Tube that would be entertaining to show your children, grandchildren or neighbor’s children.  It is an animated video called “Fireworks, the Blinding Truth” which features Suzy the Sparkler and Freddie the Firecracker.  It may be worth someone’s quality of vision to share this brief, entertaining video.  Remember, it’s not about stopping the fun, it’s about being Safe in the Fun.
