Eye Physicians and Surgeons has been open throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, providing necessary care for urgent and emergent conditions. As we have now resumed visits for routine but important eye care, we remain first and foremost committed to the safety of our patients and our staff.
Some of our Safety and Sanitation Procedures Include:
- All patients are asked to arrive with properly fitting masks (covering mouth and nose – without vents), and staff and patients will wear masks at all times
- Patients will wait for appointments in their cars when practical, in order to minimize time in the office and exposure to other patients
- Please bring a cell phone if you have one – Screenings will be initiated with histories taken over the phone to minimize face-to-face exposure and time spent in the office
- Except for parents or necessary caretakers, visitors will be asked to wait in cars
- All Patients, Staff and Doctors are screened for fever and COVID symptoms. If you have had either, please call to reschedule your visit
- Check-in and check-out are performed remotely to limit employees in the office
- Hand sanitizer will be provided to all visitors
- All Medical Equipment and surfaces will be sanitized between patients, and doorknobs and chairs will be cleaned regularly throughout the day
- Plexiglass breath shields have been installed on all examination equipment
- Staff are equipped with N-95 respirator masks, gloves, and face shields or goggles for use during any close encounters. This keeps staff and patients safe
- Limited optical services are available, with all frames sanitized if handled
- We are reducing schedules to limit wait times in cars and eliminate congregating in the office. This has also minimized time in the office
- All patient encounters must be by appointment but as always we are available for emergencies
- High Efficiency Air Purifiers with HEPA filters are installed throughout the office
- We are committed to making your visit as safe as possible, but also thorough, efficient and pleasant
